on your skin?
Four starting points, from a water-like gel to a visible cosmetic finish.

03 / ABOUT SKIN AQUA
Sun care with
a water-first idea.
Skin Aqua is Rohto’s sunscreen brand. Its Japanese range brings together water-like gels, moisturizing essences and formulas with a cosmetic finish.
“Super Moisture,” “Barrier,” “Light Up” and “Tone Up” identify different products. Regional versions and renewals make the complete name more useful than the colour alone.

Choose the finish.
Read the label.
Make room for reapplication.
04 / REAL PRODUCT REVIEWS
Small details.
In their words.
Two individual comments on Skin Aqua Barrier UV Gel. Personal impressions of feel and finish.
“It’s lightweight, rubs in easily, and doesn’t sting the eyes.”
“It looks good under makeup too.”
05 / BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
A little clarity
goes a long way.
Is every Skin Aqua sunscreen the same formula?+
No. Gel, Barrier, Light Up and Tone Up are separate products. Match the complete name, market, size and ingredient list; bottle colour alone is not enough.
What is the difference between Light Up and Tone Up?+
The selected Light Up Essence uses blue and silver pearls for a cosmetic glow. Tone Up Mint Green is a colour-tinted essence. These are makeup effects, not treatments that change the skin’s natural colour.
Are all of these fragrance-free?+
No. Rohto lists the selected Super Moisture Gel and Barrier Gel as fragrance-free. Light Up Essence has a floral fragrance. Read the exact Mint Green pack’s ingredient list rather than applying a claim from another version.
Does the 80 g Mint Green match the 2026 tube?+
The selected listing is for 80 g. The renewed Japanese 2026 Mint Green comes in 70 g. Confirm the supplied packaging and formula with the listing before purchase.
Can water resistance replace reapplication?+
No. Rohto lists a two-star Japanese UV water-resistance rating for the selected Super Moisture Gel and Barrier Gel formulas. Follow the pack’s directions and reapply frequently, especially after sweating or towel drying. Do not extend that rating to the other selections.
Is Skin Aqua SPF Guide the manufacturer?+
This is an independent product guide. Skin Aqua is a Rohto brand; product availability and the supplied version are determined by the linked listing.
